I am a married Mormon mom. I write about the mundane and the marvelous (esp. the "marvelous work and a wonder" that is the gospel of Jesus Christ).
Note: I seek to keep content consistent with doctrine & teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but this site is not officially affiliated with the Church. I'm just another Mormon blogger who loves the gospel. :)

Thanks for the link, m&m. Sister Teichert is very cool. In our temple, (St. Louis) there is a print of one of her pieces. It depicts the Savior carrying the lost sheep and bringing it back in his arms. It's wonderful.
Many of the murals in the SLC and Manti temples were painted by people Brigham Young sent on art missions. And there is an exhibit right now at the church museum of art and history of some of the paintings produced by these art missionaries.
One of the things about Minerva that I think is funny is that she bartered with BYU - she would do paintings in exchange for free tuition for her children and grandchildren. What a terrific woman.
Mark,
Thanks for more tidbits.
Bartering for tuition? I LOVE it!
